Commercial surfacing · Yorkshire
Planned asphalt surfacing for working car parks, access roads, factories, yards and private roads across Yorkshire.
01 / Scope
Atkinson Surfacing delivers commercial asphalt works from preparation through to finished lining. The programme is set around access, vehicle movements and the way the site needs to operate while work is under way.
02 / Delivery
The exact construction varies by site. The sequence below shows how planned resurfacing is taken from initial scope through preparation, laying, compaction and handover.
Review the existing surface, access, drainage interfaces, vehicle movements and the areas that need to remain available.
Remove failed material or the existing surface to the agreed depth, then prepare the area for the new asphalt.
Lay the specified asphalt by machine to establish a controlled, consistent surface across the working area.
Compact the newly laid material in stages while the surface is at the correct working temperature.
Complete the agreed markings, inspect the finished work and return the area to the client in planned phases.
03 / Project proof
The existing car park surface was planed and resurfaced over a three-day programme while the golf club remained operational.
